Tutorial: RockWorks EarthApps Introduction

RockWorks contains many programs which read spatial data from the row-and-column Datasheet and output maps, animations, and images to Google Earth. These programs can be found in the following menus:

• Utilities | Earth: Create point, line, polyline, polygon, and survey maps for display in Google Earth. Here's an example of a lease map:

• Utilities | Planes: Create strike and dip maps with map symbols or oriented disks for display in Google Earth. Here's an example of a 2D strike and dip map:

• 

• Graphics | Animate: Create flyovers, drape, and float animations for Google Earth.

• 

• Graphics | Images: Display raster images in Google Earth as floating panels, vertical panels, draped over surfaces, and as legends.

• 

There are also Google Earth programs in the Borehole Operations menus for outputting logs, maps, sections to Google Earth. These are discussed in a separate section of the tutorial.
